Tuition is $3,220, it’s cheaper than last year, but I assume you’re an international student so you would have to pay a non-resident fee as well which is currently $372 per unit.

SFSU is known as a “commuter school” so school spirit is kind of dead since people leave campus when they are finished with classes, but it depends on how you perceive it. There’s always a lot going on though, especially if you hang out around the student center. On some days the school is packed, especially during the spring semester, and on other days it’s not. It’s a really beautiful campus. I’m sure you’d love it.

Also, I assume you’re planning on living on campus. Living on campus is a great experience! A lot going on. If you’re the partying type of person, living on campus is the best place to live because you’ll get a lot of party addresses. You meet A LOT of people so you might wanna look into living on campus versus living off campus. Living on campus is much more expensive, I lived in the apartment-style dorms and paid about $12,000 for the whole academic year with food included, but it was worth it because it’s a whole new experience. You’re always around people and meeting people, and you’re just a really short walk away from the main campus. A lot of people say it’s hard to make friends unless you live on campus, so thats another positive thing about living on campus. Plus you’re only this age once in your life, so despite the expensive costs, at least experience it once.

This school is really diverse. That’s one of the best things about SFSU. You’ll get use to it fast so don’t even worry about it.

Mom says she’ll throw down a couple grand if I can come up with 2grand and continue to make it on the dean’s list at SF State.
